Happy Birthday Addison!

Addison's 1st birthday turned into a week long event. The Sunday before her birthday we had a combined party for Addison and her cousin Robbie with the Lundgren side of the family. Even though Addison wasn't very interested in opening her presents at the time, she really does love them now. Then she enjoyed her first cake experience and boy did she sure enjoy it!
On her birthday we went to Buca Di Bepo for dinner with Robbie and her parents. It was a lot of fun and she sure enjoyed the huge piece of cake they gave her.
Saturday we had a party with my side of the family. This time Addison ripped the paper a little bit but as soon as she opened one present she wanted to play with it. Then it was cake time once again. Addison loves cake! She digs in with two hands and is a disaster within seconds. She even ate most of it each time. We were surprised that she never got sick!
Despite all of her cake eating, somehow she has lost weight so we have to fatten her up. How are we supposed to do that when she already eats a ton!
Overall, Addison had a great birthday! Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us.

Catching Up!

December was such a busy month that I never had a chance to update my blog. Things are finally calming down so I am ready to get caught up. This year we tried something new. Instead of going to Temple Square to see the lights we went to Zoo Lights. It was pretty neat. The lights were in animal shapes and a lot of them looked like the animals were moving. We also got to see some of the animals that are usually asleep during the day. Gavin liked it. Addison was fine as long as she was being held--she did not want anything to do with the stroller. My mom lost her camera in the reptile house but luckily someone turned it in. Overall, we had a good time.

Christmas Eve we went to my parents house for dinner and the beginning of presents. We enjoyed wonderful food and spending time with family. When we got home Gavin put out our brownies and chocolate milk for Santa. It had to be chocolate because that is what Max and Ruby (a cartoon) put out for Santa.

Christmas morning Gavin waited patiently for everyone to come over so he could open presents. It took a while because of the huge snow storm we were having. He opened all of his and then helped everyone else open theirs too. Addison got her phone out of her sock and she was content to carry that around all morning. We had to keep helping her open her presents.
After presents we had breakfast and played with all the toys. Gavin sat and dug out his dinosaur bones for 3 days until he got them out. I think we might have to bury them in some more plaster so he can do it again!

We spent New Year's Eve at Carl's parents house. We took Mario Kart which pretty much entertained the boys all night. Gavin was wide awake until we put him in the car at about 12:30 to go home. Addison only made it until about 10:00. She was actually the only one that slept. All of the other little kids stayed awake.

We have been so blessed this past year. Thank you to all of our families and friends who have helped make so many good memories for our family and we look forward to all the good memories we will make this year.
