We spent the day at the zoo on Saturday for my mom's company party. It was a great day to be outside. Gavin and Addison love to look at all the different animals. Gavin's favorite part is the small animal house with all of the snakes, lizards, frogs, etc. I think he spent more time in there then he did anywhere else in the zoo. Addison liked pointing at all of the animals.
After waiting in line for 25-30 minutes Gavin decided he didn't want to get his face painted. I finally convinced him to get a picture on his arm. As you can see he picked a frog. He just stuck out his arm and and wouldn't even look at the lady while she painted. Sometimes he can be a real stinker!
At the end of the day we needed some ice cream to cool off. This was Addison's first experience eating an ice cream cone. She seemed to enjoy it.
By the time we left the zoo it was after 4:00 and both kids were exhausted. They were asleep within minutes. But this was not the end of our day. After a quick rest Carl, Gavin, and I were off to the Demolition Derby (Addison went to play with Grandma).
Gavin loves the Demolition Derby. He asks all year long when it is going to be derby time. This one was especially exciting because one of the cars got pushed all the way over.
We were glad that our friend Sarah (Gavin's favorite teacher from daycare) could come with us. We will be going to another one in August if anyone wants to join us.

Gavin loves to see cars get crunched? Watch out, he'll be driving in only a few years. Love the frog too. Addison likes ice cream too? She must be a great little eater.
