I have been really bad at updating my blog. The week after preschool got out we went on a little vacation to St. George. It was an interesting trip. Lots of things went wrong but we were still able to spend time together and have fun. We left Monday afternoon (later than we had planned, of course). Our boring drive was interrupted by Addison puking all over her and her car seat. We were in the middle of nowhere so we just had to pull over, change her clothes, and clean her car seat as best we could. Luckily we had a washer and dryer in our hotel room so we could wash everything. We were trying out one of our timeshare locations and it was great. We had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen was very handy especially since we got to St. George late and nothing was open for dinner.
Tuesday was over 100 degrees so we tried to do things inside. We went to a wildlife museum that had animals set up all over for the kids to see. The kids got to carry around binoculars to look through. Sometimes the lights would go off like it was a storm and there was thunder and lightning. Gavin loved this part, Addison thought it was scary.
Later that day we went swimming, which the kids loved.
Wednesday I woke up really sick so the kids watched TV all morning while Carl worked (his work apparently couldn't survive 4 days without him). Later in the afternoon I started feeling better so we met some friends of ours at a splash pad and let the kids play.
That night we went to Pirate Island for dinner. It was very cute. There was a pirate ship to look at and there were arcade games for the kids to play.
Thursday we got up to leave and our tire was almost flat so Carl had to go fix it. Afterwards, we drove through Snow Canyon and went on a couple of little hikes. Addison refused to get in the backpack. She had to walk herself so we could not go very fast and it was pretty hot. We found a small cave and walked out on the petrified dunes.
Then we ate some lunch and headed home. Overall it was a fun vacation.

I'm glad that you guys had a nice time... aside from the few little things that went wrong :) Also, Pirate Island! My kid's very favorite place. I'm glad your kids enjoyed it too.
